Overview
SmartBudget Insights is designed as an on-device personal finance app. The app helps you track expenses, budgets, trends, insights, reviews, and reports without requiring a bank login.
Information you add
You may add expenses, income amounts, categories, budgets, notes, receipt references, imported statement data, and app settings. This information is used to provide the app's budgeting, charting, insight, review, and reporting features.
On-device storage
Your SmartBudget data stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, import, or otherwise move that data using device features or third-party services you select.
Bank login
SmartBudget Insights does not require bank credentials. If you import a bank statement file, the app processes the information you provide for expense tracking and categorization.
Apple Pay and Shortcuts
The app may guide you through setting up iOS Shortcuts automation for Apple Pay related tracking. Automation behavior depends on iOS, Wallet timing, and device state. SmartBudget does not control Apple's Shortcuts or Wallet systems.
Exports and sharing
If you choose to export reports, share files, or import statements, the selected files may be handled by Apple, your device, cloud storage, email, messaging apps, or other services you choose. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Purchases
Premium purchases and subscription status are handled through Apple's App Store payment system. SmartBudget Insights does not receive your full payment card details.
